A New Chapter of Women in Platforms

April 2025 marks an exciting new beginning for the Women in Platforms (WiPs) network as we celebrate new leadership and a renewed mission.

Since 2020, WiPs has proudly championed gender equity and supported women across the platform, advice, and investment sectors. Thanks to the passion and dedication of our founding leaders – Amira Norris, Emma Napier, and Helena Wardle – the network has grown into a trusted, vibrant community. As they now step back, we’re thrilled to announce that longstanding members Kate Phillips and Justine Pattullo will be taking the reins.

"As long-time members of WiPs, we are honoured to take the reins from our incredible predecessors and continue their legacy," says Kate Phillips. "The network has grown into a safe, supportive space for women across the industry to connect, learn, and thrive – and as the sector evolves, so too will we."

Justine Pattullo adds, "WiPs continues to be a free, volunteer-led initiative built on community. We’re committed to providing a safe and supportive environment, championing diversity, and shining a light on the challenges women still face. We also deeply value the vital role of our male allies in creating a more equitable workplace for everyone."

Although Amira, Emma, and Helena are stepping back from leadership, they will continue to support WiPs as active members and champions. "Watching the network grow and become a trusted space for so many brilliant women has been an honour," they shared. "We’re excited to see where Kate and Justine take it next."

A Look Ahead: WiPs 2025 Event Programme
We’re excited to share our 2025 events calendar, now live on our new website.

Our next in-person event will be held in Bath on 24 June 2025, kindly hosted by Altus (an Accenture company). We’re delighted to welcome keynote speaker Julie Goddard, The Success Architect, who will challenge leadership norms in her talk, Why Confidence Won’t Help You Make Better Decisions: The Case for Summoned Courage.

Looking further ahead, we’re also heading to Edinburgh in September, generously hosted by our longstanding supporters, Nucleus. Plus, we’ll continue to run popular virtual events throughout the year, covering key topics like AI, leadership, and innovation.
